Clinical & Treatment Overview

  • Gastric balloon may be considered for adults with overweight or class I–II obesity who have not achieved sustainable weight reduction through diet and lifestyle changes. It may also be evaluated as a preparatory step before bariatric surgery in selected cases.

  • Gastric balloon may not be appropriate in cases of severe obesity requiring surgical intervention, active gastric ulcers, prior major stomach surgery, untreated gastrointestinal disorders, or pregnancy. Medical evaluation is required to assess contraindications.

  • Recovery after gastric balloon placement is typically short. Mild nausea, discomfort, or gastric sensitivity may occur during the first days. Patients follow a structured dietary plan under medical supervision to support gradual weight reduction. The balloon is temporary and is usually removed after a defined treatment period.

  • Turkey has become a recognized destination for non-surgical weight loss procedures due to experienced endoscopic specialists, modern clinical facilities, and structured international patient coordination. Standardized protocols and follow-up programs support safe treatment pathways.

  • MedBax coordinates gastric balloon treatment through structured medical review and case assessment. Eligibility is evaluated before procedure planning. Clinic coordination, scheduling, and post-procedure guidance are organized to support continuity of care.
